posted a while ago about the up and coming young designer Margot Molyneux and her brilliant peg-leg pants (which I subsequently bought and have worn to death) so I’m very happy to feature this shoot by Brett Rubin of her latest collection, available at Mungo & Jemima in Long Street.
I love this editorial - just wish Deluxe Magazine was still around as it’s perfect for it! Well done to Brett and the rest of his team – stylist Nicole Van Heerden and make-up artist Jade Leggat.

![December 2009 054 [640x480] Thankfully Jade has a steady hand!](http://www.ifor1.co.za/wp-content/uploads/2009/12/December-2009-054-640x480-500x375.jpg) Thankfully Jade has a steady hand! Last week was mayhem – again, again – when will I get control? Sigh, it seriously is the silly season…
Anyhoo, some fun photos of the latest Dossier shoot for the Feb 2010 issue that we shot at my house with the brilliant, brilliant Dewald Daniels, styled by Mari Groenewald, with Jade Leggat on hair and make-up and the beautiful Kudzani from Boss as our star, especially when she gave us the OK to shave half her hair off!
I’ll post up the finished pages when they are published, so there’s a bit of a wait but I was so happy with the result, I can’t wait to see what the layout looks like.
 Moments from our day
Had the most amazing day yesterday – my first stint as stylist, and I was lucky enough to do it for Dossier Magazine, probably the most exciting fashion magazine this country has.
The best thing about it was the creative freedom of the whole experience - I got to choose my subject, write the story, put together the most incredible team (thank you Damon Fourie, Jade Leggat and the lovely Lala from Boss) and then spent the day creating beautiful images of outfits I would kill to wear. Think Jimmy Choo heels, power accessories and the slinkiest of sheaths. Sigh, so dreamy.
Am I happy right now? Hell, yes!

Megan Perks may not have won this year’s Elle New Talent Awards competition, but this shoot (styled by Alexia Kondylis and photographed by Theo Klompje) proves her work translates well from design sketch to tangible object.
‘I used traditional textiles from India, Japan, Mexico and Africa as my print inspiration and juxtaposed this against simplistic geometric shapes,’ says Jade, who designed each piece for the contest, then asked her friend Jade Walters, a surface designer, to silk screen the fabric by hand.
A great team, including top make-up artist Jade Leggat, Alexia and her talented fiance, Theo, on shoot day resulted in these fab photos that hopefully prove the promise of this young designer.
